چکیده

In order to explore the methane reduction potential with two scenarios of water management and Chinese Milk Vetch return, we calculated emissions Hunan Province rice fields in 2019 using SECTOR tool based on Excel released by International Rice Research Institute. Thus, preliminarily established an agricultural carbon monitoring, reporting, verification (MRV) system. The results showed that: (1) There was significant spatial variation fields, higher both south north lower east west. Late main contributor emissions, cities Changde, Hengyang, Yueyang, Shaoyang were high-emission areas due differences planting types areas. Compared flooding (1275.75 Gg), optimized measures (mid-drainage AWD irrigation) reduced 29~45% (905.79 701.66 Gg, respectively). (2) Under same nitrogen input conditions, compared a solely straw return (375.24 combining green manure could partially reduce from super hybrid (327.63 Gg). control fertilizers (404.28 rates winter-planted Vetch, straw, incorporation 7.19%, 13.01%, 18.96%, respectively. Based scientific accounting tools, preliminary MRV system for field established. national demand reducing fertilizer use increasing efficiency, equal organic amendments effectively contribute development green, low-carbon, high-quality agriculture.

Influence of fertilizer management and water regime on methane emission from rice fields

Experiments were conducted to determine methane emission from a rainfed lowland rice field (water depth about 3–30 cm) and an irrigated shallow rice field (4–6 cm), both planted to the same cultivar, cv. ‘Gayatri,’ as influenced by fertilizer management practices. Methane emission peaked from 100 to 125 days after transplanting followed by a decline in rainfed lowland field plots. Application o...

Methane emission from rice fields in relation to management of irrigation water.

A field experiment was conducted for two years to find out best water management practice to mitigate methane emission from the rice-fields. Continuously flooded conditions yielded two major flushes of methane emission and on an average resulted in relatively higher rate of methane emission (2.20 and 1.30 mg m(-2) hr(-1), respectively in 2005 and 2006) during the kharif season. The methane flux...

Methane and nitrous oxide emissions from rice paddy fields

Recent field studies in rice paddy fields in Japan and China have shown that N2O is emitted to the atmosphere not only after the application of nitrogen fertilisers under flooded conditions but also in a period from the final drainage to submergence in the following rice-growing season through nitrification or denitrification. Those results clearly indicate that CH4 and N2O emissions in rice pa...

the effect of drainage systems on methane emission reduction from paddy fields

global warming, as a consequence of greenhouse gases accumulation, has exerted significant impacts on biosphere. methane, a product of reduction processes of organic carbon in anaerobic conditions, is mainly emitted from paddy fields. the aim followed in this research is to evaluate the impact of midseason drainage on methane emission from paddy fields. the research was conducted with three tre...
